Colmic Urtan X-5 is a three-section surfcasting rod that stands out for an innovative solution in the terminal section. Instead of a classic solid or tubular carbon tip, it adopts a composite tip, directly inserted into the underlying hollow section. This design choice does not compromise the reactivity and firmness of the tool during casting, but offers significant advantages during fishing, especially in rough seas and surf conditions. The composite tip, softer and more sensitive, is less noticeable by the fish during the bite and better follows the wave motion and currents, keeping the lead stable on the bottom and reducing the risk of tearing or drifting. This feature also allows the use of lighter leads in difficult conditions. The blank is made of high modulus U.L.A.F. Pro-Force carbon supported by long fibers for greater casting reactivity and reduced vibration during retrieval. The Fuji KW guides, with their robust and anti-tangle structure, are suitable for various sea conditions, facilitating line passage even in the presence of algae or debris. The composite tip is painted white for greater visibility, and the Fuji DPS reel seat completes the quality components. The optimal casting weight is 80-160 grams, making it suitable for various surfcasting techniques. The interesting aesthetic solutions further enhance its appearance.
