This surf rod has six telescopic sections that extend to a total length of 4.50 and provide plenty of casting power. The Fira was designed with special attention paid to continuity of action and power progression within the sections just below the tip (a weak point of almost all short-tip rods), achieving results never before obtained, with performance similar to those of traditional long-tip telescopic surf rods. As a result, this rod will ensure a smooth and progressive response in any situation and the gradual compression of the sections will produce a cushioning effect on the line. Constructed from HR-HM carbon with satin finish, it features a woven carbon butt section for better protection of underlying fibres from shocks and scratches. It is built with a Fuji reel seat and has no running guides on the tip. The handle is coated with a high-grip finish to ensure a firm hold in any situation. Optimum casting weight is between 125 and 145g, but heavier weights can be cast with ease.
