Known to some as Shimano's "Batman" spinning reel due to its darkened colourway, the Shimano Exsence Spinning Reels returns in 2021 with the Exsence A model, lighter than its predecessor. The Exsence A has an impressive list of features: Hagane Gear, Hagane Magnesium body, Micro Module Gear II, Silent Drive, X-Protect, MGL Rotor, 11 shielded A-RB ball bearings, and titanium headband providing all the features to fish in all conditions with incredible ease and smoothness. Although the 3000 version weighs only 180g, it is still equipped with a 9kg. load clutch. The combination of the Micromodule Gear II together with the G-free body results in a very robust and fluid reel, as well as extremely balanced. The new Exsence A is the perfect companion when looking for coastal species such as sea bass, greenhouse, leccia (it is not built to fish for tuna or sharks, so we recommend a heavy duty SW reel like Twinpower / Stella SW). For fresh water, it can be used for any species with thin braids.
